Built in the twelfth century as a watchtower of the Pazzi family's Castle, Torre al Sasso, still watching tuscan hills. It' s likely, that, Jacopo de 'Pazzi, fleeing towards Bologna, after Giuliano dei Medici homicide, changed his horses here; instead of the Castello del Trebbio, where Medici family would, probably, have already waited his crossing, to get arrest him for murderer. That happened a few days later in Serignana, near Castagno D'Andrea. The Castle and Tower were confiscated to the Pazzi family, and Salviati family got all the goods in their hands. In 1500 the Tower, already Marchese Salviati's property, was enlarged and transformed into an important farm and we can still admire today, the proper historical tuscan culture .
